How we collect, use, share, and protect your data.
We use your data to provide the core service: storing your logs, showing history and trends, optionally analyzing stool photos with AI to pre-fill fields, generating health insight summaries, and sharing dogs within a household you create. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
When you use the photo-analysis or insights features, the relevant image or log data is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a suggested classification or summary. These features are optional and only run when you trigger them.
We don't sell your information. To run the service we rely on a small set of trusted providers that process data on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, and file storage |
| Vercel | Application hosting and content delivery |
| OpenAI | AI analysis of stool photos and health insight summaries |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Bot / abuse protection on sign-up and sign-in |
| Sentry | Error monitoring and diagnostics |
| OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) | Turning coordinates into readable place names |
We may also share data where required by law, or with your consent when you invite others to a household.
If you create or join a household, other members of that household can see the shared dogs and their activity logs. Anyone with your invite code can join, so share it only with people you trust. The owner can regenerate the code at any time.
Data is stored with Supabase and encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted by row-level security so you can only reach your own (and your household's) records.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profiles, logs, and uploaded photos are removed from our systems. Backups and third-party providers may retain copies for a limited period per their own policies.
View your data anytime in the app.
Edit your dogs and profile at any time.
Download a copy of your data from your account settings.
Permanently remove your account and data from settings.
Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have additional rights. Contact us to exercise them.
